Blackmagic Design has unveiled the HyperDeck Shuttle HD, a new compact recorder/player tailored for desktop environments. The device is equipped to handle H.264, Apple ProRes, and DNx video formats, making it versatile for various broadcast needs.
Design and Features
The HyperDeck Shuttle HD features a large metal search dial and traditional broadcast deck controls, facilitating quick media browsing. Its design includes a built-in teleprompter functionality, enhancing its utility in live production settings. The device supports HDMI connections, making it ideal for use with ATEM Mini switchers.
Media Support
The recorder/player accommodates recording and playback of ProRes, DNx, and H.264 files in NTSC, PAL, 720p, and 1080p resolutions. Users can choose between PCM or AAC audio formats, providing flexibility for different broadcasting requirements.
Connectivity and Storage
The HyperDeck Shuttle HD supports a variety of storage options including SD cards, UHS-II cards, and USB-C external disks. It also includes a 1G Ethernet port for remote file uploads and network control, ensuring efficient data management.
