Dalet Galaxy Enhancements Simplify Media Asset Management

Dalet Galaxy, a media asset management (MAM) platform, has announced several enhancements designed to simplify workflows and improve content visibility for broadcasters and content owners.

The new capabilities include work order tracking, media packaging, native subtitling support, tighter social media integration, and enhanced collaboration tools. These features will be showcased at IBC2015 on Dalet's stand 8.B77.

Work Order Tracking

A key enhancement is the introduction of work order tracking, which provides unprecedented visibility into complex ongoing projects within the Dalet MAM. This feature allows users to review the status of work orders and track progress in real-time, enabling supervisors to easily monitor project timelines and make informed decisions.

Media Packaging

Another significant enhancement is media packaging, which visually maps out all elements associated with a complex asset, such as episodes, promos, dubbed versions, and packaging. This feature simplifies the ability to manage assets across the enterprise and provides a clear overview of relationships between assets.

Native Subtitling Support

Dalet has also introduced native subtitling support for its MAM platform, enabling users to search, edit, and publish subtitles within Galaxy. This standards-based strategy manages complex captioning workflows across all three Dalet platforms – Dalet Galaxy, Dalet Brio, and Dalet AmberFin.

Better Social Connections

To ensure content owners can reach their audience effectively, Dalet Galaxy now publishes directly to social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, the platform features a newly redesigned chat and messaging module providing a unified interface for persistent chats, group chats, and offline users.
