The acquisition of Ooyala’s flexible content supply chain platform by Dalet aims to diversify its service portfolio and address a wider range of market needs.

Expansion into New Markets

The Ooyala Flex Media Platform, which operates as a subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering, will enable Dalet to serve corporate brands, telcos, leagues, and sports teams. This move is part of the company's strategy to increase recurring revenue through SaaS models.

David Lasry, CEO of Dalet, stated: 'By acquiring Ooyala, we significantly widen our addressable markets in terms of verticals and their respective tiers of complexity. The platform provides a solution for managing media assets with modern metadata management and orchestration capabilities.'

Including Talent and Customers

The deal includes Ooyala's personnel across sales, marketing, engineering, professional services, and support. This ensures a smooth transition and continuity of service for existing customers like Audi, Fox Sports Australia, HBO Asia, and Turner Asia.
