Cloud-Based Workflows for Live Content
A collaboration of industry leaders is showcasing live production workflows in the cloud at IBC2018. The demonstration highlights how cloud-based infrastructure can enable broadcasters to scale their operations quickly, cost-effectively, and efficiently.
The 'live production in the cloud' workflow involves multiple partners that play key roles in the live production process. From the field, a live video stream is sent to Microsoft Azure's cloud platform from a Dejero EnGo mobile transmitter. The stream is then received in Azure, transcoded, and delivered to Make.TV's Live Video Cloud, which is used to curate and route content to any number of destinations.
End-to-End Workflows
The demonstration also involves other partners, including Avid, Haivision, Hiscale, and Signiant. Their technologies are integrated to provide end-to-end workflows that enable broadcasters to manage, process, and distribute live content efficiently.
