EditShare powered video workflows for the 2021-22 China Men’s Basketball Professional League (CBA) finals, working with Alibaba Cloud to ensure smooth content distribution and access. The company utilized its FLOW media management tools to facilitate video uploads, downloads, editing, and delivery, customizing web user interfaces for CBA officials, sponsors, rights-holding organizations, and other registered users.

Customized Interface Enhances Accessibility

EditShare tailored the FLOW web-based user interfaces in Chinese to simplify content searches, access, and downloads. Security restrictions were implemented to prevent unauthorized video access. The cloud-based distribution platform aimed to provide quick content availability to all entitled users.

Regional Partner's Role

The project was managed by ThinkTone Tech in Beijing. Pavel Li, Product Director at ThinkTone Tech, stated, “The CBA Finals are a prestigious sporting event, and we were delighted to help our customer exceed audience expectations with the advanced technology provided by EditShare and Alibaba.”

Efficient Video Distribution for Live Sports

Bacho, chief revenue officer at EditShare, emphasized, “Live sport demands immediate video distribution. FLOW from EditShare ensures access to thousands of assets from anywhere, supporting popular editing platforms for users' preferred workflows.” The last game of the CBA Finals, where Liaoning defeated Guangsha 100:82, was covered using EditShare’s cloud technology.
