Media facilities now have an easier way to ensure their files meet compliance requirements as EditShare's QScan Automated Quality Control (AQC) has been integrated with Aspera Orchestrator. This integration simplifies the process of setting up AQC workflows, ensuring that files are compliant when they enter or leave the facility.
QScan uses a patent-pending Single-Pass Analysis process to provide robust quality control capabilities, making it accessible for both creative and technical operators. Howard Twine, director of software strategy at EditShare, explains: 'The integration is a straightforward plug-in, allowing Aspera Orchestrator customers who are building file-based workflows to leverage AQC when they are sending or receiving files from another party.'
With the growing number of delivery platforms and their respective requirements, QScan's intuitive visual inspection interface and automated QC accuracy make it a valuable tool. 'AQC is a time and money saver all around and simply a must for delivery workflows,' Twine adds.
Enhanced Compliance Verification
The new integration ensures that media files comply with various standards such as PSE levels, DPP AS-11, and IMF standards. This is crucial for facilities dealing with global delivery demands or working with different broadcast requirements.
John Wastcoat, vice president of business development at Aspera, highlights the importance of this integration: 'Bringing together the robust capabilities of Aspera Orchestrator with quality control systems like EditShare’s QScan allows our customers to remove much of the complexity and potential headaches from not knowing if their media is compliant with any of the growing number of file formats.'
IBC2018 attendees can see this new integration on the Aspera Partners Village stand 7.B25, showcasing how it streamlines compliance verification in a variety of workflows.
