meWASHINGTON, A.M./NEW YORK -- The 2014 Radio Show will function FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai, who will interact in a dialog with NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith on the Radio Luncheon, held Friday, September 12. The 2014 Radio Show, collectively produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), can be held September 10-12 in Indianapolis.
During the dialog, Pai and Smith will talk about communications coverage and the way it impacts free, native radio broadcasting. The Radio Luncheon may even function the presentation of the National Radio Award to Bud Walters, founder and president of the Cromwell Group.
Pai joined the FCC as Commissioner in May 2012 and is focusing on making a regulatory setting by which competitors and innovation can flourish, for the good thing about American shoppers. During his time on the FCC, Pai has made AM radio revitalization a precedence on the Commission. Between 2007 and 2011, Pai held a number of positions within the FCC's Office of General Counsel, together with Deputy General Counsel. Prior to becoming a member of the FCC, he was a companion within the Communications Practice at Jenner & Block LLP and Associate General Counsel at Verizon Communications Inc.
