Frame.io has released a major update to its Camera to Cloud (C2C) workflow solution, enhancing hardware compatibility and software integration. The latest additions include support for the Aaton Cantar X3 sound recorders, as well as new authentication methods for Android devices. Additionally, Frame.io now integrates with popular filmmaking applications such as Pomfort Livegrade with ShotHub, ZoeLog, and Magic ViewFinder.
Increased Adoption and Global Reach
The industry adoption of Camera to Cloud has been rapid since its launch in March, with over 1,300 productions utilizing the service. These projects have stored more than 150,000 assets on Frame.io. The new hardware support for Aaton Cantar X3 devices further expands the global appeal and accessibility of C2C.
New Authentication Options
Frame.io has made it easier for crews to set up Camera to Cloud by allowing authentication via a web browser in addition to its mobile apps. This feature now supports Android devices, Macs, and PCs, making the workflow more inclusive.
Software Integrations Enhance Collaboration
The latest software integrations bring the power of Camera to Cloud to an even wider audience, allowing for earlier collaboration in the production process. Integration with Pomfort Livegrade and ShotHub centralizes LUTs and CDLs in a single cloud directory, while ZoeLog generates shareable camera reports that can be automatically distributed to relevant team members.
Benefits of Enhanced Workflow
The C2C workflow enables creatives, sports groups, education, news, and filmmakers to transmit, view, and edit footage moments after the camera stops rolling. This innovation minimizes the gap between production and post-production, enhancing collaboration and creativity.
