France Télévisions Outre-Mer Expands Playout Capabilities
French overseas territories broadcaster France Télévisions Outre-Mer has extended its partnership with Imagine Communications to deploy the company's playout solution in Tahiti and Mayotte. The new installations join a existing Versio-based setup in Paris, which has been operational since 2017.
The expanded deployment features two Versio networks at each site – main and backup – providing playout, graphics, subtitling, and master control switching. All functionality is delivered as microservices-based software running in the Imagine Communications Zenium environment, supporting both IP and SDI content feeds.
Seamless Workflow Critical to Success
A key requirement for the new installations was to enable a seamless workflow between the playout system and France Télévisions Outre-Mer's traffic and scheduling system from Lora Solutions. To achieve this, Imagine Communications collaborated with Lora Solutions to integrate Versio metadata, allowing intelligent, reliable, and speedy content exchange between the two systems.
