A new software option from Broadcast Pix allows users to control AJA Video Systems' KUMO SDI routers and expand the input/output capabilities of its integrated production switchers.

Broadcast Pix has announced a new Router Control software option that extends the input/output (I/O) capabilities of its integrated production switchers. The option, designed to work with AJA Video Systems' KUMO SDI routers, allows users to easily cross-point control router sources to router destinations feeding a Broadcast Pix system.

According to Mark Siegel, president of Advanced Broadcast Solutions, the Router Control option was developed in response to customer demand for more inputs without having to upgrade to a larger production switcher.
