Fresno Community TV Channel Upgrades with Cloud-Based Service
Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC), a community access TV production facility serving Fresno and Clovis, California, has transitioned its public, education and government (PEG) programming to a cloud-based service. Tightrope Media Systems' Cablecast Reflect is the chosen platform for delivering live and on-demand video streams to Internet viewers.
The move enables CMAC to efficiently manage bandwidth and enhance online video distribution without straining its internet connection. With Reflect, the facility can now deliver high-quality H.264 streams to broadcast and online audiences, removing the burden from its internet connection.
Seamless Integration with On-Site Servers
Cablecast Reflect seamlessly interfaces with CMAC's on-site Cablecast live and VOD servers, which include Tightrope Media Systems' workflow. This integration enables the facility to aggregate, cache and distribute media from its scalable cloud platform, providing a virtually unlimited number of high-quality streams.
CMAC has been using Tightrope Media Systems' workflow since its inception in 2012, including Cablecast multi-channel broadcast automation for main programming and Carousel digital signage systems for backup and bulletin content. This end-to-end broadcast automation solution eliminates the need to purchase and integrate separate products.
