TVU Networks has integrated Apple's Center Stage functionality into its TVU Anywhere solution, enhancing the capabilities of mobile live video production. This integration allows users to conduct professional broadcasts without a dedicated camera operator, leveraging AI to automatically track and frame subjects.
New Feature Enhances Mobile Production
Center Stage, a feature available on iPad Pro models equipped with M1 chips, automates subject tracking by recognizing and following the main subject in a scene. When additional people enter the frame, such as during an interview, the camera automatically adjusts to include all subjects before returning to focus on the primary individual.
TVU Anywhere users can now take advantage of this technology through an API integration, eliminating the need for external controls and simplifying the production process. The app is already widely used by media organizations globally due to its extensive features, including dual-camera support and remote control capabilities.
Empowering Users with Mobile Technology
TVU Networks CEO Paul Shen emphasized the company's commitment to utilizing consumer technology for professional-grade solutions. "Our goal is to provide high-quality options for everyone from large broadcasters to home content creators," he said. The integration of Center Stage aligns with TVU's mission to empower users by harnessing the capabilities of smartphones and tablets.
TVU Anywhere supports full HD transmission with minimal latency, combining cellular and WiFi connections for reliable video delivery. It also features dual-camera technology, allowing simultaneous broadcast from front and rear cameras in various display modes, as well as a video return feed for confidence monitoring.
