StormHD, a leading UK post production facility, has announced the adoption of Forscene's cloud-based professional video editing software. The move is in response to increasing client requests for Forscene-enabled projects.

Forscene Integration

The post house has installed a Forscene server at its facility, enabling automated ingest, uploading, proxy creation, and file transfer. This allows StormHD's team members to access media from anywhere over a standard internet connection, making it easier to collaborate with clients and team members.

According to Paul Ingvarsson, co-founder of StormHD, Forscene has been a game-changer for their workflow. 'The interface is intuitive, and the client-side caching of proxy media makes it very snappy to use,' he said. 'I don't even realise that the media is in the cloud – even when I'm using it at home.'

Increased Efficiency

The integration of Forscene has also improved efficiency at StormHD. Ingvarsson noted that once watch folders are created on the server, transcoding and uploading is as quick as consolidating rushes to ISIS. This allows the post house to quickly and easily access media from anywhere.
